Step 1:
Let us know you’d like to have an item shipped to us prior to going through checkout. It is your responsibility as the buyer to make sure what you have being shipped to us is in compliance with NYS law. If the item is not in compliance one of the following will happen:
1. The item will be shipped back to the sender at your expense + pay our transfer fee.
2. You’ll have to pay M1 Firearms to make the firearm compliant (if possible).
– Non-compliant magazines shipped to us will be forfited if you do not hold an exemption.
Step 2:
Let your shipping party know you’d like to ship the items to M1 Firearms. We will send the shipping FFL (Transferor) a copy of our FFL upon request (if needed) they can download a copy of our FFL from our website. They will need this prior to shipping your firearm to us. If you have any questions please contact us.
Step 3:
We will contact you when it is ready to be picked up to set up your appointment. Please make sure you have the sending party include your information with the shipment so we can verify its yours. If you have not heard from us within 3 days of your firearm arriving, please feel free to call us for an update.
Step 4:
If shipping a firearms for Cerakote. Make sure to include a copy of your ID and pistol permit (if applicable) along with your contact info (all of this is found in our “order form” document at the bottom of our home page). Please make sure to include a return shipping label. Items must be shipped 2 Day air with ID and signature required. Items will be shipped back in the original box that they arrived in.
Fine Print
Non-Serialized items transferred to us will incur a $35 per item handling fee unless prior permission from M1 Firearms is provided in writing prior to receiving items. Non-Serialized items should be shipped directly to your home to avoid this fee.
M1 Firearms is not responsible for coordinating the return of firearms from Transferor for “Denied” response from the background check, refused transfers (for any reason), or are otherwise unable to legally take possession of the firearm or if the item is not as described from seller. This is 100% the responsibility of the buyer to facilitate.
Transfers that have not been picked up within 30 days will incur a $50/month storage fee. Transfers that have not been picked up within 90 days, unless we have approved a longer time frame in writing, will be considered abandoned and become the property of M1 Firearms. This applies to all items transferred to M1 Firearms.
